31 cards with numbers from 3 to 34
55 playing token

Concept

One card lies in the center of the table, face-up. On their turn, each player make a choice: To take the card and puts it in front of them, giving them points equal to the number pon the card, or they may decide not to take the card and pass by putting a token next to it. The next player clockwise then takes their turn and has to make the same choice.: Either take the card (including the token), or decline it and pay one of their own tokens. The game continues until all cards have found someone willing or forced to accept them.

The player with the fewest points wins.

The Cards and the tokens

When you take a card, you receive points equal to it's value. For instance a card with 15 is worth 15 points.

However there is one catch. If you have a sequence of cards that are directly next to each other, it only counts for the lowest number in that sequence. For instance if you had 9,10,11, instead of being 20 points, it would only be worth 9 points.

Preparation

Each player gets 11 tokens putting the remainder back into the box.

Shuffle the cards and then remove 8 of them from the deck without looking at them. They should be placed back in the box. The rest of the shuffled cards should be placed face down in front of them.

Gameplay

The start player turns over the top card of the deck and places it next to the deck face up. That player then either

• takes the card and put it in front of themselves, face-up
• or decline it and put one of that player's tokens next to the card.

Regardless if they took the card or placed a chip on it play moves clockwise.

The next player flips a card if there isn't one and then faces the same decision: either take the card (and the tokens), or pass and pay one of their chips. The game continues clockwise.

Often, players will pass on a card for several times, so that the number of chips lying next to the card gets to be big. This is normal.

Note:

All card values have to be clearly visible at all times during the game. This is not secret information and a player may ask at any time about the cards any other player has in front of them.

The game follows this sequence until all cards of the deck have been claimed. As soon as the last card of the deck has been taken, the game ends and the final scores are calculated.

End of the Game

After the last card has been claimed each player adds up their final score by summing up the values of all their single cards, plus that of the lowest card of each unbroken number sequence. After adding these, each player subtracts the number of chips they have remaining from that number.

The player with the lowest final score wins the game.
