What is an accessibility kit?

64 Oz. Games accessibility kits allow both blind and sighted players to play together with a retail product. What is included in an accessibility kit can vary from game to game depending on the needs of the game.

Most of our kits consist of a printout with all of the text of all of the cards. Included with it are instructions on assembly. The majority of kits require both a blind and sighted person to work together for initial assembly.

A few kits can be used without knowledge of braille and are under the minimal braille menu. We at 64 Oz. Games believe firmly in braille literacy but understand that not all people have mastered braille or in some cases are even able to learn braille due to nerve damage and other conditions.

Some kits with a lot of text on a given card may include QR codes to be used with a reader such as the iPhone. This allows players to read their cards without assistance and secretly. All of these kits are clearly labeled.

Other kits may include custom dice or tokens specific to the game.

All kits require the original retail game to play and a link to an online retailer is provided. Some kits listed as combo kits come with both the game and the kit but are not yet assembled.

Why 2 sites?

64 Oz. Games has expanded over the years and we found that we are better served having 2 sites. 64 Oz. Braille. is focused on products for blind consumers, transcription services, and teaching tools. It is appropriate for both educational and business settings.

64 Oz. Games has a little more freedom to offer not safe for work games and not safe for work and can focus a little more on sorting the games in a reasonable manner.

Braille Gaming is Braille Literacy

Mika Baugh

The Accessibility Kits from 64 Oz. Games have introduced me to games that I otherwise would not have had access to. It has expanded my knowledge of the types of games that exist. I enjoy playing these games without sighted and blind friends alike.

Kayleigh Joiner

Without the products from 64 Oz. Games from Monza to swing cells the summer Braille programs that I helped run would not have been the same.

Karen Anderson

The tactile ruler on my paper trimmer is fantastic by the way! I can actually cut paper the same size each time instead of trying to line it up with a ruler on top of it!
